Le Samyn is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in February/March in Fayt-le-Franc, Belgium, starting in Frameries and finishing in Dour. Since 2005, the race is organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Established in 1968 as a professional race, it was originally held under the name of ''GP Fayt-le-Franc'', becoming ''Memorial José Samyn'' in 1970 after the death of José Samyn in 1969.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.lesamyn.be/ )
Since 2012, a women's edition of the race has been held under the name of ''Le Samyn des Dames''.〔
Snow had covered many of the roads in region, causing the cancellation of the 2005 edition.
